Grisham

I am a modern contemporary artist and a bonafide member of the boomer generation. I work with acrylics and oils to create stylized art in vivid, saturated color, infusing it with as much spirituality and non-preachy messaging as my ‘inner hippie’ can muster. My painting style and palette are products of my era and my-come-from-place.

I believe in hard, cold realities, fairies and witches, superheroes and villains, yesterdays, tomorrows, and things that go bump in the night. I believe there is Right and there is Wrong. In my works, I often portray these extremes as apparent truths, understating or overstating to express the vein of thought humanity shares, that thing we relate to without knowing why, that déjà vu of soulstuff. As a woman with a past, sufficiently seasoned by the gray areas between Right and Wrong, my beliefs will continue to be what they are until they are not, so I approach most truth with a side-eye wariness.

Then, I paint it.
